We are looking for a management assistant for the University of Groningen. You will be working at the Faculty of Science and Engineering. It is a job for a longer period of time, and the start is as soon as possible. The job of management assistent is for a period of 12 months which could become permanent after a positive evaluation.

who you are

As a management assistant at the faculty of science and engineering, the following qualifications are important

• Excellent command of both Dutch and English verbally and in writing
• Experience in independent secretarial functions, preferably with work experience in an academic environment
• Independent, enterprising, solution-oriented, flexible, stress-resistant, accurate, systematic
•  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and focused on collaboration

what will you do

The management assistant offers secretarial support to the employees of the institute in their work.

Your duties include:

• General tasks, such astaking care of correspondence, archiving, diary management, telephone, post and mail handling, illness registration, etc
•  Support the institute (website, accommodation, financial administration, project administration)
•  Provision of information to external parties, employees and students
•  Scientific information management
•  Organizing, taking minutes and elaborating meetings and consultations
•  Organizing events

The Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) of the University of Groningen conducts research and education at an academic level in the beta sciences.
The Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT) at the FSE aims to enhance the quality of education across the science disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics through theory-informed and evidence-based approaches. The Center aims to enhance the quality of education at FSE by promoting innovative education and professionalization. The Center has a primary mission to provide leadership and support for the FSE staff community to promote student engagement and learning. Through the Center, we strive to foster an inclusive community of students and staff that utilizes contemporary learning theories, evidence-based education, teaching innovations, design-based methods, and interdisciplinarity.
