Improved terms of employment for you as a payroller
Several things will change if you have an employment contract via Tempo-Team Payrolling on 1 January 2020. We have listed the changes for you in this email.
Good news! As a payroller, you will have more rights and improved terms of employment. This is all to do with the Balanced Labor Market Act (WAB), because this act means that flexible work will become more fixed. This means more certainty.
Simply the same bonus, end-of-year payment etc. as your colleagues
As from 1 January 2020 you will be entitled to the same terms of employment as the colleagues who are permanently employed by your client. Therefore the same number of vacation days and possibly a nice year-end payment or bonus. Naturally, this does depend on what applies at your client. We will inform you later of the exact terms of employment.
Your salary is paid on the 21st
As from 1 January you will receive your salary each month on the 21st. You will simply receive your salary a day sooner or later if this day is a public holiday or falls on a Saturday or Sunday. So you will receive your first salary for 2020 on 21 January. Good to know in advance! Please keep the following in mind if you now receive your salary weekly or on a regular basis:
- You will receive a fixed monthly salary if you work a fixed number of hours
- You will be paid a fixed minimum number of hours per month every month if you work a fluctuating number of hours. You claim more hours every month if you work more.
Your legal status will improve even more
The ABU Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) still applies to you now, but the client’s legal status regulations will apply to you as from 1 January 2020. This is what is known as the ‘chain system’ in most cases. Or: at most three employment contracts for a definite period during a 3-year period.
Please note! A statutory transitional arrangement applies if your employment contract commenced before 1 January 2020. The ABU CLA still applies if this is the case. The client’s chain arrangement applies as from the next employment contract you conclude on or after 1 January 2020. The number of contracts and years you have already worked until 1 January 2020 are taken into account in the determination of the number of chains.
Your client´s CLA will be guiding if your client´s CLA is nevertheless different.
What else will you notice?
We are busy preparing our systems for the WAB. This means that your assignment may indicate an end date of 31 December 2019 in ‘Mijn Tempo-Team’. This is only being shown for technical and administrative reasons. This means that the end date of your current employment contract is not necessarily that date! The agreed end date will be visible in ‘Mijn Tempo-Team’ once again as from the start of 2020.
Any questions? Please ask them!
We will be sending you more information in January. If you would like to know more about the WAB, contact your contact person at Tempo-Team or send us an email.
Have a nice day!
