what will you do
Introduction:
Before you start, you will follow an introductory program, which consists of three days. You will also receive a complimentary lunch from Scania on your first day. You will also receive clothes, safety shoes, and an access pass. You are expected to wear your safety shoes and clothes on the workfloor.
At the end of the program, Randstad will inform you where you will work on the production line. After the program, you will start working. Your supervisor will welcome you and take care of your training.
Working hours:
You will work in three shifts: 06:00 to 14:18, 14:18 to 22:36 (with the exception of Friday evening which is until 23:00), and 22:36 to 06:00 (with the exception of Sundaynight which starts at 22:00) The shifts rotate on a weekly basis; you will work in the morning shift one week, in the afternoon shift the next week, and in the night shift the week thereafter. The night shift starts on Sunday at 22:00. You may have to work on Saturday mornings. This happens about four to five times a year.
Pause:
Breaks: You have 50 minutes for breaks a day. This consists of one break of 30 minutes and two breaks of ten minutes. We have an on-premise cafetaria where you can buy food.
- You must understand, speak, and read English. Our work instructions are in English. You will communicate with your colleagues in English. Because safety is very important to us, you need to be able to communicate clearly.
- Couples can also work at Scania, they will always be scheduled for the same shift, but for different departments.
- Transport to work is guaranteed, people with a driving license become drivers of company cars, if necessary.
- Your motivation for working at Scania must be because you like the company and the role, not because of the salary. You also need to be reliable.
- Experience with logistics is nice to have.
- Forklift or reach truck certification is nice to have.
- You must be physically fit.
- Employee must wear Scania Meppel's work shoes.
