who you are

Are you a driven Drawing Operator with an eye for detail and a passion for technology? Do you see achieving the highest possible quality as a challenge, and do you enjoy working on your own development as well as that of the company?!

• Experience in process technology or the glass industry (is a plus);
• An affinity for technology and the motivation to further develop your skills;
• Working on the day shift (and willing to work in a 2-shift system);
• An MBO level 3 Operator diploma (Vapro A) or the willingness to obtain one;
• In possession of a VCA certificate (basic safety) or willing to obtain one;
• Proficient in speaking both English and Dutch;
• An independent, accurate, and proactive work attitude.

what will you do

As a Drawing Operator, you lay the foundation for fast communication by drawing optical fibers. You work accurately and independently. The main tasks you will perform are:

• Operating, setting up, and monitoring advanced process installations;
• Identifying anomalies and independently making adjustments to the process;
• You speak English or Dutch good;
• Performing checks and first-line maintenance on the installations;
• Actively contributing to improvements, including through 5S and continuous improvement methodologies;
• Working flexibly across multiple production areas, which provides variety and opportunities for personal development.

where will you work

You will be working for the world's largest producer of optical fiber, starting on the day shift (however, you will immediately receive the shift allowance to make it appealing). Flexibility is required for this new project, as operations will transition to a 2-shift system, and eventually to a 5-shift system once everyone is fully onboarded.

A 5-shift system means you will work 2 days from 06:00 to 14:00, 2 days from 14:00 to 22:00, and 2 nights from 22:00 to 06:00. After this, you will have 4 days off before your schedule starts over. Twice a year, the company switches to a 4-shift schedule, which offers less regularity in your shift pattern.
